We are having an Easter Special event this Saturday. A guided tour around the best of Rocky Bay for just $50. The trip will include opportunities to beach-up for picnics or a swim and will be at high tide so we can get close to the Whakanewha and Kauaroa coastlines. The tour will start at 9am and last approximately 2 and a half hours, after which the Rocky Bay cafe will be open for tasty food and drink.
Booking is recommended as places are limited so call or text 029 0203 9884 to secure your place. Please arrive around 8.30 so we have time to sort out your life jackets and get you all set and ready to go.
Many thanks to all who attended, whether you were participating or just enjoying the atmosphere down on the beach. Some pictures from the day are below, we'll add more as they become available and permission is granted. If you have any from the day please share via Instagram @zoskayakswaiheke or call/text 029 0203 9884 - we'd love to see them.
We are delighted to announce that we will be holding a free Kayak taster session on the 22nd of March from 9am until midday as part of EcoFest 2026 and Neighbours Aotearoa. This will be a perfect opportunity to have a go if you've never tried before or it's been a long time since you last got in a boat.
Detachable seats are available for little ones and those a bit older (10+) can learn to paddle independently. Older participants are also very welcome, our team will be on hand to guide you and help you in and out of your kayak if necessary. Food and drink will be available at the nearby Rocky Bay Hall Cafe.
Call us on 029 0203 9884 for more information or just come and join us at the beach, down the footpath from the old Rocky Bay Store - one of our big blue penguins will show you the way!
All the details on where we are and what to bring are on our home page. So come and enjoy this opportunity to connect generations within the community, spending time together in our beautiful bay. Many thanks to the Waiheke Resources Trust for helping make this happen.
